HOW NOMINATIONS AND VOTING WORK FOR THE 2013 MTV EMA BIGGEST FANS
This year's MTV EMA gives the power to you, the viewers, to pick the nominees and the winner of the Biggest Fans Award by joining an artist's Fan Team and earning points for that artist. Points can be earned on the website, located at www.mtvema.com (the "Website"); the mobile website, located at http://m.mtvema.com/ (the "Mobile Site"); and/or the MTV EMA app available free at the iTunes store (the "Mobile App"). Only points earned by real people will be allowed! Any entries that we believe have been made via participation in a syndicate or via any form of machine-assisted intervention enabling computer-generated multiple entries, may be disqualified.
The nomination phase for the Biggest Fans is open from 30 August 2013 until 17 September 2013. Voting for Biggest Fans (and the other Main Categories of the MTV EMA) is open from 12:00pm CET on 17 September 2013 until 11:59pm CET on 8 November 2013 and winners will be announced during the MTV EMA event on 10 November 2013.
Nomination Phase:
On 30 August 2013, the nomination phase opens with 15 artists in contention to become Biggest Fans Nominees. Users may join any of those 15 artists' Fan Teams to earn points for that artist through their actions. You can earn up to a maximum of ten (10) points per day by performing the actions listed below. The ten-point limit applies per day, regardless of whether earned on the Website, the Mobile Site, and/or the Mobile App.
Every day from 8 to 17 September 2013, the artist whose Fan Team has the lowest total number of points will be eliminated from contention at 12:00pm CET. On 17 September 2013 at 12:00pm CET, the 5 artists remaining in contention will become the official nominees for the Biggest Fans award, and their Fan Team points will reset to zero.
Voting Phase:
From 17 September 2013 until 8 November 2013, each point earned by users on Fan Teams is equivalent to one vote for that artist for the Biggest Fans award.
Earning Points:
In both the nomination and voting phases, users earn points by logging into the Website, the Mobile Site or the Mobile app and doing any or all of the following actions: reading an article, watching a video, viewing a photo gallery, liking/following MTV EMA on Facebook/Twitter, sharing a link on Facebook/Twitter, and (as of 30 August) referring a user to a Fan Team page. In the voting phase, users can also earn points by casting votes in all other MTV EMA categories, sentiment tagging, taking polls, and liking/following an EMA-nominated artist.
If a user's team is eliminated from competition during the nomination phase, no further points will accrue to that team from that moment onward, but a user may select a new Fan Team and start earning points for that artist. Users may change Fan Teams at any time, regardless of whether their original artist's Fan Team is still in contention, but previously earned points will not carry over to their new Fan Team.
In the voting phase, after a user reaches 425 points, he/she becomes a Level 2 user and each point-earning action counts for 2 points (= 2 votes). After a user reaches 775 points, he/she becomes a Level 3 user and each point-earning action counts for 3 points (= 3 votes). If a user changes Fan Teams, he/she will remain at the same level.

COMO FUNCIONAN LAS NOMINACIONES Y VOTACIONES PARA LA NOMINACIÓN BIGGEST FAN DE LOS EMA 2013
Este año MTV EMA te da el poder a ti, los espectadores, para escoger a los nominados y el ganador del Biggest Fan 2013 uniéndote al equipo de fans de uno de los artistas y ganar puntos para dicho artista.
Los puntos pueden ser ganados en la página web, localizada en www.mtvema.com (Página Web), la página para móviles http://m.mtvema.com/ (Página Móvil) y/o en la aplicación disponible de forma gratuita en la tienda de Itunes (la "aplicación móvil"). Sólo los puntos conseguidos por personas reales serán válidos! Cualquier participación que consideremos sea hecha por un sindicato o por alguna máquina que ayude a la publicación de varias entradas será descalificada.
La fase de nominación para Biggest Fans está abierta desde el 30 de Agosto de 2013 hasta el 17 de Septiembre de 2013. Las votaciones para Biggest Fan (y otras categorías principales) se abrirá desde las 12:00pm CET el 17 de Septiembre hasta las 11:59pm CET del 8 de Noviembre de 2013, y los ganadores será anunciados en el evento MTV EMA el 10 de Noviembre de 2013.
Fase de Nominación:
El 30 de Agosto de 2013, se abre la fase de nominación con 15 artistas en lucha para convertirse en el nominado a Biggest Fan. Los usuarios pueden unirse a cualquiera de los Equipos de Fans de esos 15 artistas para ganar puntos para el artista a través de sus acciones. Puedes ganar un máximo de diez (10) puntos al día realizando las acciones que se muestran a continuación. El límite de 10 puntos se aplica por día sin importar si se consiguieron a través de la página web, la página para móviles y/o la aplicación.
Todos los días del 8 al 17 de Septiembre de 2013, el artista, cuyo grupo fan tenga el total con menos puntos será eliminado a las 12:00 pm CET. El 17 de Septiembre de 2013, a las 12:00pm CET los 5 artistas que sigan en competición se convertirán en los nominados oficiales para el premio de Biggest Fan, y los puntos de su equipo fan se pondrán a cero.
Fase de Votación:
Desde el 17 de Septiembre de 2013 hasta el 8 de Noviembre de 2013, cada punto conseguido por el Equipo Fan se convertirá en un voto para el artista.
Conseguir puntos:
Tanto en la nominación como en la fase de votación, los usuarios ganan puntos al iniciar sesión en la página web, la página web para el móvil o la aplicación. y haciendo una o todas de las acciones siguientes: leer un artículo, ver un vídeo, ver la galería de fotos, click en me gusta / seguir MTV EMA en Facebook / Twitter, compartir un enlace en Facebook / Twitter, y (como el 30 de Agosto) seguir al equipo de un artista. En la fase de votación los usuarios pueden conseguir puntos votando en las distintas nominaciones, etiquetar a un artista, participar en una encuesta y click en me gusta / seguir a uno de los artistas nominados.
Si el equipo de un nominado se elimina de la competición durante la fase de nominación, ningún punto será acumulado en adelante para dicho equipo, pero el usuario puede seleccionar un equipo nuevo si lo desea y empezar a conseguir puntos para el equipo. Los usuarios pueden cambiar de equipo si lo desean independientemente de si el equipo original sigue aún en la competición, pero los puntos obtenidos anteriormente no se pasarán al nuevo equipo.
En la fase de votación, los usuarios que lleguen a 425 puntos, el/ella pasarán al nivel 2 y cada punto conseguido con las acciones valdrá 2 puntos = 2 votos. Después de que un usuario llegue a los 775 puntos, el/ella llegará al nivel 3 y cada punto conseguido con las acciones valdrá 3 puntos = 3 votos. Si un usuario cambia de equipo permanecerá en el mismo nivel.
Nota Importante:
Para ganar puntos y/o votos para el Biggest Fan, los usuarios deben tener o crear una cuenta en www.mtvema.com e iniciar sesión en www.mtvema.com.
